Jane Remover supercharges Lincoln Hall for the “TURN UP OR DIE” tour

april 25th, 2025 - chicago, illinois

Jane Remover made it clear back in January that 2025 was destined to be their year. Every move they continue to make only cements their legacy as one of the most influential and inventive artists out there right now. Their third studio record, Revengeseekerz, blessed listeners upon its initial release earlier this month, showcasing Remover’s powerful sonic evolution back into the digicore & hip hop scene. The album has been met with high critical acclaim and an incredibly positive reception from long-standing fans and the plethora of newcomers who have resonated with their powerful artistic vision. However, the year doesn’t stop there; Jane Remover now takes Revengeseekerz to the stage with the “TURN UP OR DIE” tour.

As the second date on their North American tour, the crowd was unbelievably pumped for Remover to step out on stage. Dazegxd opened the show with a DJ set of his own that transitioned straight into Jane Remover’s set, kickstarting night 2 of the TURN UP OR DIE tour with an energetic performance of “TWICE REMOVED.” You couldn’t stand still if you wanted to at the beginning of their set; for one, the crowd was united in pure euphoric celebration to see Jane Remover in the flesh. However, their performance was so invigorating that the whole crowd simply could not stop dancing and relishing in the ecstatic start to the evening. From stage presence to vocals to crowd engagement, Jane Remover brought it all for a simply legendary beginning to their show in Lincoln Hall.

Jane Remover wasn’t going to let things slow down at all either, as they immediately jumped into “Psychoboost”. Even without the presence of Danny Brown, the performance of the track was super-charged with an electrifying sense of excitement. “angels in camo” followed up this track, with the entire crowd chanting along throughout the performance. Despite how hectic and rambunctious the crowd was, it was impossible to keep your eyes away from the stage. Jane Remover so effortlessly connected with the audience and served as an infectious life of the party with energy that echoed throughout the entirety of the building.

Remover’s performance of the iconic single “Dancing with your eyes closed” came earlier in the evening than expected, but there’s no doubt that the live rendition of this song was one of the biggest highlights throughout the evening. The whole venue was roaring every single word of the track while just having so much fun dancing around to the music and with one another. Remover also sounded incredible within the track, easily hitting the impressive and booming screamo notes at the end of the track in their live performance. Every component of the performance of “Dancing with your eyes closed” was hyperpop excellence translated perfectly into the live experience.

Vocally, Jane Remover sounded incredible throughout the entire evening. Her tone was paired with a slight distortion effect on the mic that truly immersed listeners into their world for each and every moment of the show. However, Remover’s vocal paramount undeniably came out during their performance of “Professional Vengeance”. They had no fears on tackling the opt-up vocal in the bridge of the song, belting the question: “Is this what you want? / I got nothing left / Business in the front, / I was born to take what I can get.” With such an upbeat track with unbeatable vocal performance from Remover, jaws were left on the floor after “Professional Vengeance” finished up.

Jane Remover also showcased two of the most legendary tracks from her entire discography back to back, showing off the best of the old and the new. “Flash in the Pan” was undeniably a crowd favorite, with every single person in the crowd singing how “Pretty boy said I was just a flash in the pan / I can’t take her flow if I can’t take her man.” Right after “Flash in the Pan,” Remover hopped into a performance of “movies for guys” from their debut record, Frailty. While the song was pretty close to the original track, the live mix of the song amped up the energy with a new dynamic flare that certainly struck deep chords in the hearts of long-standing Jane Remover fans.

While the show had to end at some point in the night, there was never a single moment where the energy was not kept at its highest level. It only kept getting better and better, making all of Lincoln Hall feel as if the night were never going to end. Of course, the TURN UP OR DIE tour could not go on without a phenomenal performance of the track “TURN UP OR DIE.” It’s hard to put into words what the experience of “TURN UP OR DIE” was like live, but you could say with confidence that this moment lived up to every single expectation suggested by the song’s title.

Following the performance of “TURN UP OR DIE,” Jane Remover asked the question of whether anyone in the crowd had ever changed their name as they segwayed into the world’s first ever glimpse of Revengeseekerz: “JRJRJR.” This moment was indeed a full-circle moment for Remover and everyone in their crowd. After an immensely successful year, it was such a powerful moment of catharsis to sing along with a passionate and vivacious performance from Jane Remover.

However, Jane Remover wasn’t quite ready to stop there, as they concluded the night with an unreal performance of the classic “homeswitcher.” Jane Remover delivered a high energy performance that was a true testament to their career development since the release of the original Teen Week EP back in 2021. Their growth as an artist and as a performer throughout the past few years has been incredible, and the TURN UP OR DIE tour shows that Jane Remover has truly established a name for themselves and will not be going anywhere anytime soon.

The TURN UP OR DIE tour continues on until the end of May, where Jane Remover will perform 20 sold out shows across North America. Dazegxd joins Jane Remover for all of the dates as a supporting DJ, while d0llywood1 and Lucy Bedroque accompany the tour on select dates.
