A New Pop Princess in Town and Her Name is Lydia Night

august 13, 2025 - los angeles, california

Lydia Night officially kicked off her solo era in the most Lydia Night way possible, being “fashionably late” to her own show with her preshow vlog. Before she even hit the stage, the TVs flickered to life with her intro, where she cracked jokes about running behind, and playing it up like a bratty pop diva princess welcoming us all into her new era.

Playing in her hometown of LA, the debut felt like both a homecoming and a reset. Night unveiled tracks from her brand-new solo album Parody of Pleasure (out everywhere now), diving headfirst into her new electrified pop territory. Tracks like “Meltdown” and “Chameleon” off the new album made the whole night feel like a heartbreak diary entry turned dance party. But she didn’t leave her roots behind, breaking into the beloved song “Barely on My Mind” from The Regrettes' days, filling the room with cheers.

Between bright lights, cameras projecting her every move onto the stage screens, and raw bursts of high energy, it was clear Night was staging her next chapter. Climbing on top of the bar, dancing with fans screaming the lyrics back at her and moshing alongside her, embracing the chaos like co-stars in her live music video.

Lydia Night is not just stepping back into the spotlight; she’s ripping it down, repurposing it, and making it her own. Los Angeles just witnessed the birth of its newest pop princess, and she’s doing it on her own way. Lydia Night’s pop star era has officially arrived.
