Thousand Below Buries Toronto in Jade
august 26, 2025 - toronto, canada
Thousand Below took over Toronto’s iconic Velvet Underground on their Buried In Jade Tour late Tuesday night. The packed building was buzzing with anticipation from the beginning of the evening, filled with excited energy for the lineup to come. With openers Aviana, True North, and Dreamwake, the night showcased some of the most exciting up and coming heavy bands in the scene right now.
Comprised of vocalist James Deberg, guitarist Josh Thomas, bassist Josh Billimoria, and drummer Max Santoro, Thousand Below is magnetic on stage, drawing the audience in from the opening chords of the first track. With big lights and an even bigger sound, Thousand Below balances the heavy setlist with the high energy atmosphere, as mosh pits break out throughout the show and the audience jumps and dances along to every track.
Fresh off of the release of their latest album earlier this month, Buried In Jade, the setlist is a mix of new and old songs which drives the excitement in the room. Older tracks like “SHAKE” and “Hell Finds You Everywhere” are met with an undeniable chorus of cheers and as the audience screams every word back at the band.
Buried In Jade has clearly quickly become a fan favourite album, with songs like “Palace of Dread” and “The Way Down” pushing the energy in the building through the roof as fans are drawn closer to the stage. Proving their complete control over the room, Thousand Below easily slows the crowd down for a more intimate moment with “Los Angeles” and “Save Me” as the entire audience sways and sings along to the slower tracks.
From the first moment the band steps on stage, the audience is fully pulled into the world of Thousand Below; dancing, singing, and moshing through the set late into the night. Catch them on the Buried in Jade tour in North America until the middle of September before they head to the EU and UK late in the year. Stream Buried In Jade, out now on all streaming platforms.
