Magic City Hippies Bring Their 2026 Tour to Kansas City
February 11, 2026 - Kansas City, Missouri
On February 11th, the Miami-born band Magic City Hippies brought their indie funk swagger to the Madrid Theater in Kansas City, Missouri.
The energy was determined before they even started playing as they took the stage in wildly-colored outfits lit by an array of lights consisting of all different colors. The members danced together on stage from the moment they started playing all the way to the closing track, their on-stage chemistry undeniable as they happily set the vibe for the entire night. The intimate set-up of the Madrid Theatre benefited the energy and made the show feel like nothing short of a dance party amongst friends—the sense of community was overwhelming and added much to the atmosphere and overall feel of the night.
The joy on the faces of fans throughout the venue was a delight to watch, from the people dancing on the floor to the fans seated on the balcony. Magic City Hippies played a mix of their older songs along with an array of tracks from their new album Enemies which was released just last year. The songs all blended beautifully together and the bands genuine chemistry was showcased during the song transitions—some endings turning into on-stage jam sessions that led seamlessly into other tracks.
By the end of the show, fans were throughly satisfied, sweaty, and many were hugging their friends while lingering in the venue, trying to draw out the experience a little while longer.
