Pennywise Rips Through Toronto

Toronto, Ontario - September 27, 2026

The crowd packed into Toronto’s History early Sunday evening, lining up outside the venue in anticipation for the marathon of punk icons on the bill, headlined by Pennywise. Fans gathered from across the city, pushing right up to the front of the barrier, and lining the bars that wall the venue, through the evening. 

Murphy’s Law started off the evening, kicking up the energy early in the night, igniting moshpits from the beginning of their set as lead singer Jimmy Drescher joined the crowd in the middle of the floor. The bar was quickly raised even higher by H2O, who was relentless on stage as they pushed the audience even further, thrashing through their set. Up next was the legendary Circle Jerks, who ripped through their setlist with undeniable intensity, and time for a story or two in between songs. 

When Pennywise finally hit the stage, you could feel the adrenaline pulsing through the air as the crowd surged towards the barrier. Opening fast and heavy, the band did not slow down for a single moment, demanding more and more from the audience. Waves of crowd surfers fell towards the stage, familiar faces repeatedly popping up through the crowd as they kept coming back for more. 

Honouring their namesake, taken from Stephen King’s iconic 1986 novel It, Pennywise pushed the boundary closer towards chaos throughout the show as they drove the energy of the already ecstatic crowd through the roof. Over three decades after the release of their debut album, Pennywise, which was released in 1991, the band continues to maintain the defining velocity that was built in the California punk rock scene.
