Turnstile Gives Toronto An Unforgettable Night On The ‘NEVER ENOUGH’ Tour

Toronto, Ontario — September 12, 2026

This past Saturday, fans from across Canada trekked out to Woodbine Park in Toronto’s East End for Turnstile’s ‘NEVER ENOUGH Tour Pt. 2’ – not your typical spot for a show in the city! The 5-piece Baltimore alternative hardcore band chose this location to have a fully general admission crowd, and a temporary venue was built up in the park for the gig. Ticket sales from the show supported Shoot for Peace, a local non-profit making “art accessible to underserved youth.”

The venue started filling up as soon as doors opened in the late afternoon. Fans were pumped for the show to begin with a stacked lineup of Toronto artists ahead of Turnstile’s headlining set. Pluto’s Kiss, Saya Gray, and No Warning all got the crowd moshing early with short, punchy sets that were overflowing with energy and love for the city and the people in it.

The dreary grey skies of the afternoon turned pink throughout the evening, and we even caught a small glimpse of a sunset with the Toronto skyline and CN Tower in the distance. When the sun had set and the stage lights were the only thing illuminating the crowd, the anticipation only rose for Turnstile to start the show.

Turnstile’s set is monumental. The band (Franz Lyons (bass/vocals), Meg Mills (guitar), Pat McCrory (guitar), Daniel Fang (drums)) took their places on stage as Neil Young’s “Rockin’ in the Free World” blared through the speakers, and lead vocalist Brendan Yates made a running jump, starting into ‘BIRDS.’ Within seconds, the crowd was moshing, off their feet, and crowd surfers had made their way to the front of the pit, racing back into the crowd as soon as they landed in front of the stage. The energy didn’t let up as “Real Thing” and “ENDLESS” followed, where Brendan jumped down to the barricade and stood on the edge of the crowd, moving alongside them. The 22-song set leans heavily on their 2025 album NEVER ENOUGH, and their 2021 album GLOW ON, but they also tap into some of their older, pure hardcore tracks. The band and the crowd fed off of each other’s energy, and the set was on high from start to finish. 

The visuals switched between solid vibrant colours, video of the band, fans, and wide shots of the crowd appearing to move as its own organism. For the entire set, camera people worked their way through the chaotic crowd, filming fans to appear on the screen. This combination of on-screen visuals only served to reinforce and raise the vitality of the audience, keeping the crowd present and engaged in the moment.

The crowd raged on throughout the night to tracks like “MYSTERY,” “7,” and “Keep It Moving”, forming sweaty circle pits, throwing water, and a seemingly endless cloud of dust was being kicked up and floated over the crowd. Brendan would frequently yell “get up here!” mid-song, encouraging more crowd surfers to make their way to the front of the stage. The night ended with an impeccable 4-song encore of “HOLIDAY,” “BLACKOUT,” “NEVER ENOUGH,” and “T.L.C. (TURNSTILE LOVE CONNECTION).” Brendan threw his mic in the audience to let a fan finish the final song before jumping back down to the barricade to hug, thank, and say goodbye to fans.

As a newer Turnstile fan, but a long-time lover of live music, the energy at a Turnstile show is on another level entirely – it’s almost indescribable. There was an overwhelming positivity throughout the entire crowd. Fans of all ages and backgrounds were in attendance, and there was an evident sense of respect that everyone had for one another. The atmosphere of community that Turnstile has fostered is palpable no matter if you are shoulder-to-shoulder in the middle of the pit or in your own space at the back. And isn’t that what live music is all about? Finding a safe space to be yourself and finding emotional release can be hard these days, but going to a Turnstile show is a great place to start.
