Hello Mary teases upcoming album “Emita Ox” with three new songs

Hello Mary has dropped three tracks from their upcoming album Emita Ox, out September 13th via Frenchkiss Records. This is the third album for the indie-rock trio of Stella Wave, Helena Straight, and Mikaela Oppenheimer, who were named one of “2023’s sharpest, noisiest debuts” by Rolling Stone.

If we can glean any insight into Emita Ox from the freshly released singles, it’s going to be a rowdy album perfect for feral girl fall. (If that isn’t already a thing, it will be after September 13th.) The songs—’Three,’ ‘Down My Life,’ and ‘0%’—are characterized by Hello Mary’s distinctive heavy distortion and moody lyrics.

Hello Mary joined Silversun Pickups on the Physical Thrills tour this past spring and summer, and then hopped across the pond to the UK for festival appearances, a couple headline shows, and performances supporting American Football. In October and November, the band will jump into their headline tour of North America, where they’ll share the stage with Bleary Eyed, Blimp, and Starcleaner Reunion. They’re also slated to support American Football once more in October for an already sold-out show in Brooklyn.

Presave Emita Ox here, and catch Hello Mary live by checking out their upcoming tour dates.
