Poppy enters the metal scene with new album announcement

Youtuber turned musician, Poppy announces her new album “Negative Spaces”, set to release mid November. Poppy threw the music scene for a loop when she first dipped her toes into metal. Bad Omens released a single earlier this year featuring Poppy. Switching from monotonous vocals to full screams flawlessly, “V.A.N.” showcased Poppy’s new vocals, wowing many music lovers. She also joined Bad Omens on tour for a bit and got to perform the song live with the band.

Poppy didn’t just stop there, she is also featured on Knocked Loose’s ‘Suffocate’. Furthermore, she released two singles of her own that are very much heavy compared to her previous work.

According to an update account on X the user says “Poppy’s new album will include “delicately-delivered pop, full bodied screams, synth-symbiotic ‘80s retro-futurism, and energy-jolted ‘00s pop-punk”’. Poppy is making a name for herself in the metal community, which is heavily admirable considering the minimal number of female metal vocalists.

The album was co-produced by Jordan Fish, ex member of Bring Me the Horizon, who seems to be collaborating a lot with other artists since his departure. While the full tracklist for “Negative Spaces” is not released yet, fans are hoping to see other metal vocalist features. Be on the lookout for more possible single releases to get another listen of what’s to come.
