The 34-year-old singer has been nonstop this past year, and he clearly doesn’t intend on slowing down. Despite being on tour with the Jonas Brothers, he’s managed to dedicate time to create something purely for himself. In a recent podcast episode with internet personality Jake Shane, Jonas generously shared some insight into the start of what would become this new record: “[Alexander 23] and I worked on a song for a brothers album. And then I was listening to it and was like ‘Damn, I really like this song. And I don’t know why, but I want this song for myself, not just the brothers. And I also feel like it’s not DNCE’” he explained. “It’s the most personal music I’ve ever made.”

There’s an air of groundedness and peace surrounding this project, with the album’s promo video showing clips of Jonas drinking in natural scenery– lying down by a moving waterfall, looking over a sunset atop a cliff, running through a field. He knows exactly how he wants his audience to feel– to be present and reignite their zeal for life.

His first single ‘Work It Out’ off of the new album is gearing up to release on July 19th which has been teased in various social media posts. Lucky for any Jonas Brothers fan, he also made sure to squeeze it into the tour’s set.

“This album is a celebration of gratitude, hope, and love. These songs reflect on my life from a bird’s-eye view acknowledging the many blessings around me” he shared in a recent Instagram post. “This album speaks to the experience of being a father, being a friend to oneself and others, and the happiness found in doing what I love for a living.”

The highly anticipated album is available for pre-save now.
