Turnstile @ RoadRunner

Boston - November 20, 2022

Following their recent Grammy nominations, Turnstile took the stage for two nights at Boston's Roadrunner. They have had multiple different openers throughout this 30 show tour. For their second show in Boston, Fiddlehead kicked off the night, bringing up the energy in the venue. It didn’t take long before handfuls of crowd surfers were being pulled over the barricade. The entire pit jumping and singing together, giving back the energy the band was giving them.

After a brief break Snail Mail took the stage creating an entirely different atmosphere. The crowd went from moshing in the pit, to swaying and singing along. Snail Mail has a classic rock feel, adding a great deal of diversity to the show. Allowing fans to interact with the band, reconnect and prepare for what’s about to come.

As it drew closer for Turnstiles’ set, people grew antsy. However, the waiting music that was chosen seemed to help break some of the up. Allowing people to sing and dance with one another, while waiting for their favorite band. As the last song stopped playing, the lights dimmed and fans began chanting. They took the stage, allowing the anticipation to build, but as soon as that first chord was struck, the energy skyrocketed throughout the venue. The band clearly gave all they had into this performance and the crowd reciprocated that energy. A countless number of people crowd surfed throughout the show and each one with the biggest smile on their face after being pulled from the pit. Turnstile created a safe space for their fans to express themselves and enjoy the experience while also looking out for one another. If you’re looking for a high energy rock show, Turnstile is who you want to see.
